Holly & Berries Stencil

Hi Crafty Friends,
I know Christmas in July is over but it is never to early to get all your holiday cards done so you can relax in December. I am sharing a tutorial with the 4213 Brass and Bliss Holly & Berries Layering Stencil. I made two cards with this awesome stencil because I LOVE the layering.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Do you decorate your house with holly at Christmas?
A: No, but I think it's beautiful

Card #1: Holly & Berries Bear

Step 1:  I used Brass & Bliss Blending Brushes with Brass & Bliss Color Fuse Set #10 Grass Green Ink for my Holly Leaves and Set #4 Crimson for my Holly Berries. Brass & Bliss Blending Brushes make it soooo easy. I used Brass & Bliss Color Fuse Set #10 Ink Basil for the stems and seed layers.

Step 2: I die cut my stenciled background out of the 5007D Brass & Bliss Nested Rectangle Stitch Die and mounted it on the 5719D Brass & Bliss Small Scallop with Holes Nested Die that I cut from red cardstock.

Step 3: I finished my card with the 5515-01D Brass & Bliss Merry Christmas with Shadow Die and added the little bear and tree from the 3332 Christmas Inchies Stamp Set.

Card #2: Holly & Berries Stencil

Step 1: I used Brass & Bliss Color Fuse Inks Set #9, 10 with their smooth blender brushes to start my background with the holly leaves.

Step 2: I used Brass & Bliss Set #4 Crimson Color Fuse Ink for the berries

Step 3: I finished my background with the Brass & Bliss Detail Brushes to do the little stems and berries.

Step 4: I die cut my stenciled background out of the 5007D Brass & Bliss Nested Rectangle Stitch Die and mounted it on the 5719D Brass & Bliss Small Scallop with Holes Nested Die that I cut from red cardstock. I wanted to feature the stencil so I just added a small sentiment from the 36052 Merry Christmas Stamp Set.

  1. What a sweet Christmas card! Great stenciled background and the sentiment die set is fantastic. I need to add this to my stash. It's never too early to start holiday cards. Thanks for sharing at A Cut Above's August Challenge.

  2. Great stencil set! I love holly designs. I actually have a grapevine wreath that has some silk holly leaves and berries decorating it. It doesn't scream Christmas, so I leave it up all year!
