I'm Only an Arm's Reach Away

Hi Crafty Friends,
I have a darling little bird card for you today using the Mummy Bird Stamp set from Rachelle Anne Miller. I just love how the little bird is jumping the nest with the Mummy looking over him. It's such a sweet image.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is the first "independent" thing you remember doing as a kid?
A: Me? I remember learning to ride my bike with no training wheels and feeling so free

  2. This is so cute! I love the clouds in the background! Your little birds are darling! Dishes. I remember being stuck in the kitchen doing dishes while everyone was out watching tv. It might be why I dislike being alone in the kitchen to this day! :)

  3. My goodness you put together such cute cards. That background and colors are beautiful. Annnnd the birdie story is soooo cute and obvious! Just Darling! I was very little, and with Mom watching I crossed the country road to bring fresh eggs in a basket to the neighbor. I remember how wide that road felt and when I returned how proud to give mom the money for the eggs.... I got to keep a quarter for delivering them timely and not broken. (Oopsie, the next week I didnt earn the quarter).🐣

  4. Sweet little bird family and a pretty sky background! Love those clouds!

I recall getting dropped off at a local park with my older sister and a neighbor friend. That was our first time to be on our own for a bit. We went back to the (rather secluded) creek area behind the park, looking for tadpoles, and an older man followed us and got a little friendly with me, trying to put his arm around me. yuck! My sister told me not to tell my Mom but I did anyway. That followed up by a report to the police department, where I had to give his description, etc. It was not any time soon that we were dropped off anywhere again.... and I still remember what that man looked like!

  5. I was pretty much a wimp as a kid, so can't really remember being independent until I was almost 12, lol!

  6. Soooooo tweet. I mean sweet :) My first independent memory: You may not believe that I remember this, but my mom asked me to get my "sunsuit" out and then wait for her to put it on me. It was white with big red polka dots. I was about 2. We know my age because of the size of the sunsuit. Isn't that crazy? I remember getting it out of the bottom drawer, and waiting for my mom to put it on me.
