The chickens are really cute!!! I have only had fresh eggs a couple of times. The last time was when we were staying in an Airbnb in Wales in October. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteGreat design, love both the interpretations of the sketch! How fun!! You always use the perfect papers to compliment your cute stamps!
ReplyDeleteYes!!! I have three chickens :) and everyday I collect one or two eggs. They are more and more tasty and lifespan than those in the market...!
Cute cards! Love the fun papers and the barn.
ReplyDeleteI have had fresh eggs. We had pet chickens for awhile, and even had a rooster. One rooster we had (Fred) got pretty aggressive towards me and would try to chase me, so I had to carry a little rake around the yard to protect myself!
Love these chicken cards. I have fond memories of collecting eggs on my grandma's farm as a child and soon after we were married my husband and I bought chickens and have raised them ever since.
ReplyDeleteI've never had the chance to go out and find real eggs, but how much fun would that be! Your cards are just adorable with the chicken-pattern paper and the gingham! Wow! So glad you shared with us at Inky Paws!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
Great take on the sketch! Your inside is as beautiful as outside. I am not an egg person, I am pure vegetarian!
ReplyDeleteEeek, I love chickens!! I've only ever gotten chicken eggs once, at my cousin's neighbor's house but I always go see the chickens at the fair or exhibits.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I just adore chicken stamps on cards, and chicken images (especially vintage ones) but don't remember if I've even gotten an egg from a nest. These chicken cards are hilarious though!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are absolutely darling and I love the fun papers you used, too. I have never gotten eggs from a chicken; only the store. lol Of course, THEY got them from a chicken at some point! hehe
ReplyDeleteI love these cards....they are so cute and my granddaughters would love the sentiment Chicken Butt. We occasionally buy fresh from the hen eggs from a local farmer. They are so good and so big....so much better than the eggs we get in a store. I would love to have a couple of egg laying hens myself.
ReplyDeleteOh I love your cards Meghan. They are sooo cute. Love how you made the tag. Yes, I have gotten eggs. My grandparents had a dairy farm.
ReplyDeleteMany years ago we had a chicken coop
ReplyDeletein the back yard. I'd get the egss

Sunday dinner. Fun times - not.
Your cards are such fun.
