I don't believe in love at first sight. I believe in you think the other person is cute at first sight, they seem nice at first sight, they show qualities I like at first sight....You have to KNOW a person to be able to love them. Otherwise it is infatuation. Yes, I am married. We have been married for 35 years. He's a great guy. I dated some very good looking guys, some cool guys, some popular guys.....none of them were of real interest to me. Yes, my husband had great legs, big muscles, gorgeous blond curls....but that wasn't what I loved. I loved HIM. I had never talk on the phone with a guy for hours...and had so much to say, and really wanted to hear what he said (he had Mononucleosis so I had to only talk to him on the phone). And then we went camping (within 1 month of starting dating) with my roommate and her boyfriend, and I got sick while tent camping and threw up all night. He took care of me, and wasn't just trying to impress me. He actually cared. I think that's what made me realize what a good guy he was. We worked together, so I knew him for several months before that, and I knew his character from working with him, too. Character is so important. Looks will fade if you are together long enough......anyway, long answer, but I didn't want to just say no :)
ReplyDeleteYour card is so fabulously designed! I love the red & pink rainbows. Your niece & nephew are a couple of cuties - love seeing photos of them. I 2nd what Sharon has said above. We have been married for almost 26 years and it was not even infatuation at first site for me. lol
ReplyDeleteSince it's been 60 years since I had
ReplyDeletethat moment, I'm not sure it it was
love-at-first-sight. I think the
relationship grew on me. he was
a wonderful husband for 45 years.

ReplyDeleteOH, I love this adorable card and I've been married for 40 years..but no love at first sight! Not sure I would trust love at first sight because loving someone involves really knowing who they are..and that takes time.
