White Rose Crafts August Sketch Challenge: You're The Caramel Apple Of My Eye

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am SO EXCITED to be Guest Designing for the next two months with White Rose Crafts! That means you will get to see three White Rose Crafts cards from me each month! I'm going to start with the Monthly Sketch Challenge to give you plenty of inspiration to get your card created and enter in the challenge! This month's optional theme is Back to School so I created this cute little apple themed card using Lawn Fawn's Caramel Apple Stamp.

Q: Do you like caramel apples? Do you get the fancy ones with candy and nuts on top or regular?
A: Me? I'm not a big "sweets" person and I hate how the caramel gets stuck in your teeth! I'd rather just eat the apple


I started my card with a red cardstock base, and added a panel with the apple paper. I then used square stitched dies to created the little squares in the sketch above. I used craft paper for the stripe down the left side.

Next, I added the gingham red ribbon, adhered the caramel apples to each square and added the sentiment. I finished my card by giving the caramel on the apples that shiny look with Glossy Accents.

    So cute--the gingham ribbon is perfect. I like the idea of caramel apples but don't like the mess of eating them.

    I literally gasped Meghan - what a fabulous card! I'm not a sweet tooth either - prefer something tangy or savoury. This card is calorie free though :) Big hugs to Maddie from Dudley x

    Love this....especially the touch of red gingham. Not a fan of caramel apples....to sticky/messy for my teeth.

    I love your card- cute take o the sketch. I love caramel apples : ) When the kids had their braces off, that is the first food item they wanted to have!!! Thanks so much for joining the challenge at Catch the Bug!

    I always love Lawn Fawn, and this is such a cutie. Yes, I love real caramel apples too, but I cut them up and eat them so the caramel doesn't get stuck in my teeth
