I'm back with another DARLING image from Whimsy Stamps Digital Release! This cutie is called Windy Day Cinnamon. I LOVE that name...if I get another Maltipoo I'm going to name her Cinnamon. This is my second post as a Guest Designer for Whimsy this month, if you missed my first post head HERE to see Pip Apple Picking, it's a fun shaker card. For Cinnamon, I decided to go with fall colors and matched my coloring to these gorgeous fall papers. Of course I got some inspiration from my darling little niece, Annie in the fall photos below.
Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is the WINDIEST Day you have ever been in?
A: Me? I live in the WINDY City... so I have had many but the Polar Vortex in 2014 was when I was living downtown and all I had was my bike, I LITERALLY got lifted OFF the ground by a gust of wind on my way to work!
Annie, my darling niece |
I started my card by creating my panel out of the argyle fall paper and mounting it on my brown base. Then I paper pieced the other patterned papers making sure to mat them in brown so they pop.
I finished the card with the leaf diecuts, the BEAUTIFUL sentiment, enamel dots, and some ribbon.
Please Comment, Subscribe, and Follow my blog and Instagram. I am giving away a prize pack (see right panel) to one lucky commenter at the end of the month of August. I will be doing giveaways to my commenters and followers every month!

ReplyDeleteI used to live in Santa Maria, CA... the west coast windy city! An experience to wear a dress to school and keep from having a Marilyn Monroe moment!

ReplyDeleteLovely fall themed card. My hubby and I got caught in a storm driving home years ago and a tornado crossed the road in front of our car (we had pulled over to side of road). So that definitely is my wildest and most terrifying day. Luckily we were unharmed (car too) but road ahead was covered with trees).
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little fall card! Love the papers and coloring. I haven't had too many really windy days, which suits me just fine
