Hi Crafty Friends,
I played around with coloring texture paste with Distress Oxide ink to make these two tree backgrounds for my tag cards. The stencil is from Uniko studios and it is perfect for Christmas!
Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Have you tried Texture Paste? Do you like it?
A: Me? Yes... but it's hard when you color it because you can't put it back in the jar so I had to make A LOT of tree backgrounds!

I have texture past but haven't tried
ReplyDeleteit yet. Your trees gave me inspiration
to get it out and use it on some of
my Christmas tags. Not sure how it
does when used on a mailed card.
Great trees. thanks for sharing

I have tried it once or twice. I DO like the effect a lot. I just feel like i have to really hurry to clean the stencil before it dries and ruins the stencil!
ReplyDeleteThe first card is very attractive. The second card has that edgy artsy feel. I have not tried texture paste yet.
ReplyDeleteLove the stenciled background designs and both of your tree designs! Pretty snowflake tree and the die cut one is very cool!
ReplyDeleteI have tried a product similar to texture paste before. And I just bought two jars of texture jars at the Scrapbook Expo I attended last month.
Great tree cards. I have texture paste but haven't used it much.
ReplyDeleteCool tree cut from patterned paper on your tag. Fun card. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and ArtsyStamper.

ReplyDeleteLove the artsy tree, Meghan! Yes, I like using texture paste. Lately I have been using gloss gel medium with acetate. Such fun to try different techniques and media. Thank you for playing along at Double Trouble #44.
